International Gemini Mars Design Competition deadline is quickly approaching.

With the huge success of “The Martian” this past fall, (Oscar nominations, anyone?) and the big year that Nasa, SpaceX and Blue Origin had, it’s no surprise that Mars is on everyone’s minds these days. Especially The Mars Society‘s president Dr. Robert Zubrin, who has been preaching its importance for decades. “We are calling this mission Gemini Mars, not just because it will have a crew of two, but because we aim to have it serve to open the way to the Red Planet in the same way that the 1960s Gemini program paved the way to the Moon,” he says. With $21,000 dollars in cash prizes on the line, this is serious business. Do you have what it takes? Check out the article here.
